Welcome to MasteringPerception, this is the first blog post to commemorate the birth of the blog and to explain it’s general purpose!
I decided to create this blog to help me better understand what I am learning. I have always found that when I teach something I gain a much better understanding of it and so that will be the aim of this blog. To teach, to learn and to understand.
When writing, there is a kind of flow that doesn’t come as naturally as when I am thinking by myself and so I’m hoping this blog will help to map out my thoughts and further explore all the gaps in my knowledge as well as allow anyone reading it to join in on the journey towards knowledge.
This blog will also encourage the discovery of new areas as, although learning is great for learning’s sake, having the extra purpose of writing about what I learn will provide that extra motivation to push forward into unexplored territory. I’m going to be writing about many areas (such as History, Philosophy, Language, Science etc. ) and so it may appear quite random and inconsistent but when I get interested or have questions about a new area, I want to ride that wave out and understand it as much as I can because I think chasing down your curiosities is by far the best way to learn something and also to ensure you are passionate and engaged in what you are learning.
So, I hope you enjoy the blog and that you’ll find something on here to pique your curiosity.
